I was very pleasantly surprised with Avanti. As a Chicagoan, I was leery about an Italian restaurant in Wyoming. I needn‘t have feared.
The food was great. The wine was good, although I was put off by the "sparkling" lambrusco. Avanti appears to be primarily a buffet style but menu service is also available. The flavor is a pleasant mix of Neopolitan, Romance, Florentine and Caprizio. Everything would rank as "above average" but nothing stuck out as "spectacular" ... except the service. Our server was there when we needed her and "not there" when we didn‘t. There isn‘t the constant interruption of "how is everything" every five minutes. Non alcoholic beverages were kept full without notice.
