I was very pleasantly surprised with Avanti. As a Chicagoan, I was leery about an Italian restaurant in Wyoming. I needn‘t have feared. The food was great. The wine was good, although I was put off by the "sparkling" lambrusco. Avanti appears to be primarily a buffet style but menu service is also available. The flavor is a pleasant mix of Neopolitan, Romance, Florentine and Caprizio. Everything would rank as "above average" but nothing stuck out as "spectacular" ... except the service. Our server was there when we needed her and "not there" when we didn‘t. There isn‘t the constant interruption of "how is everything" every five minutes. Non alcoholic beverages were kept full without notice. Food: 4/5 Service: 6/5
I love this place. I‘m from Cheyenne and I go here for lunch at least once a week. Great place for lunch, different variety of sandwiches, quiches, daily specials, and they make their own soups daily. Not to mention their pies that they also make in house..there is like 25 different pies to choose from!!
This place gave me the creeps when we walked through the door. It was dirty and the "help" didn‘t help at all.
The ribs are tough and the cole slaw flavorless. Don‘t waste your money.
I‘ve lived in Cheyenne for several years and have enjoyed their food, but their service leaves ALOT to be desired. Arriving at "dinner time" does not mean that you will get what most smokehouses are famous for, their ribs. When asking what time they usually sell out of ribs, the help becomes rude and states "What do you want me to do, cook ribs all day?". Yes, since that‘s what you are supposed to be doing. No rack of ribs is worth this poor service or disrespect.
